Matt Holliday had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Dominican Republicans defeated
the Chainsaw Proctologists by the score of 7 to 4 at the ballpark.
Dominican took the lead for good in the top of the 5th inning with 2 runs on 2
hits. Jay Payton started the inning off right when he singled. After
another out, Chad Tracy was the next batter, but he struck out. Bobby Abreu
then was walked intentionally. Holliday came up and he doubled driving home
two runs. Dominican had 10 hits for the afternoon.
The win went to Scott Kazmir(7-7) who allowed 3 runs in 7 innings. Orlando
Hernandez(11-8) suffered the loss. He gave up 7 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings of
work.
The Dominican ballclub's record now stands at 61-70. With this loss, Chainsaw
has a 6-4 record of late, 62-69 overall.
